Hi,

I finished now my new computer (see in my signature, "My Computers" and "LeToy 64").
I have a few questions.

First, untill I got the DVI connection to work properly took me quite a while and I don't even know exactly how I did it. I checked everything and I thought something was wrong, I updated drivers and then said i'll try to clone the outputs (dual outputs the same, it's a 6800GT with 2 DVI's), then I could choose the output and use the DVI sinse before that only the D-sub worked, so I did that and then when i realized which output is the DVI (1 or 2) I set it to primary, that's what I think I did. it this really the way I should have done it? it didn't work plug&play with DVI.

Second, when I try to RAID 0 2 of my drives (raptors) after I apperantly create the RAID, I reboot and it freezes and when I go into the BIOS the drives are not recognized there and I need to look for them in the BIOS again and choose them there again just for the windows to boot, any idea?

Third, I have a Thermalright XP-90 heatsink on, and my CPU temp ideal is 39-40c, is that ok? it's a little high isn't it?

I have a question regarding not being able to get my memory to work Dual Channel, but I'll try to solve it myself first. maybe if you know that the MSI Neo2 Platinum has a problem with this I will be happy (or not) to hear about it, or maybe a BIOS update is needed?

Thanks all.

On the DVI question, I dunno, but I'm envious of your setup

On the RAID question, after creating the array, it should seem to Windows Setup as if it is one drive. You would need to press the infamous F6 key and feed it your SATA RAID drivers on floppy for Windows Setup to proceed. It sounds like you're having some hangup before reaching that stage, though... did you follow the instructions in the manual closely? Maybe go over them again :)

If your CPU is 90nm then I believe BIOS 1.3 or later is going to be needed for full support. For dual-channel mode, you would put the memory in either the bottom two slots or the top two slots. If it won't run that way, another possibility is that it is angry about being given a measly 2.5 volts (AUTO) when it was designed for 2.75 volts. Go into the BIOS and raise that memory voltage! :D

Temperature: that is a fine temperature for operating at *shrug*

Hope that helps a little :)

Yeah i think it's the 90nm.
So I need to upgrade my bios?

Can I fry something when i raise the memory voltage to 2.75?

Your memory is spec'ed for 2.75 volts and carries a lifetime warranty. Looks like a safe bet to me :D

I changed the memory voltave to 2.75, doesn't change the channels, still single.
