New PC, few last problems

Hey guys, I finally finished my PC, not an outstanding job but i got it done. I have a few problems and concerns though. I hit the power button nothing happens, but if i hit the power on the motherboard itself the computer boots up well and dandy. I'm guessing its either the POWER SW or MICRO. I looked in the motherboard manual and it didnt tell me where i'm supposed to put it. All it told me was, PWRLED, HDD LED, RESTART, and those are the ones i have plugged in. Also I can't find the 4 speaker jumpers?

1. 7 out of 9 motherboard screws are in, i couldn't get the last 2 in, will this be a problem?

2. Zalman 7000A-AlCu backplate keeps falling off no matter what (using stock now)

3. mobo i/o panel doesnt really fit snugly into the back of the case, ( i really had to struggle to put the thumbscrews in and evne then i didnt get all of them)

Also is there a specific order in which to install things? for example

1. Windows XP
2. Updates
3. Vid Card Drivers
4. Mobo chipset drivers etc etc

Dont know about #2 because I do not have one but #1 and #3 are fine. The order in which I usually do things is
1. Windows XP
2. Mobo chipset drivers
3. Updates
4. Video card drivers

I have built 67 computers and never had a problem so it should be fine for you too. Ho do you hit the power on the motherboard. I am confused about that comment. Also do not surf around the internet before you get all the updates. Then install some sort of virus program of your choice.

gplracer, the DFI board has a power/reset button built onto the board, its their for troubleshooting so says the manual. And thanks, anyone else have any suggestions. Also when you say Mobo chipset drivers, do you mean everything on the cd, or just the mobo chipset drivers itself?
