hi

So i finally got my new pc together, after building it started it up, everything seemed to boot up fine, but it didn't detect my hd or dvd/burner drives, so i checked the cables, ide cable, jumpers and power but they were hooked up fine, but it still didn't work.

Tried other ide cables and hd but that didn't work either. So could this mean the ide controllers are broken or what?
also the dvd/cd drives don't react no on light they don't eject, like they dont get any power. should the dvd drive eject even if it's not detected?

here my specs:

Asus A8N-E
Amd Athlon64 3500+
1 Gig mem
Asus N7800GT
Ocz modstream 450W

The drives will eject as long as they have power. Re-check all your connections. Start with a simple setup. 1 HD on the primary channel and 1 optical drive on the secondary channel. Make sure the jumpers are set correcly on the drives.
