new pc configuration help

i m willing to get a new pc
had posted mine req in the following sites
plz read and tell me whether i shuld opt for a 5600+ and e6550
i had mentioned the availble hardware here in mine area ( chandigarh , India )

i m at present not opting for a gpu solution on a PCI-E
looking for a good onboard solution
r nvidia ,s GF7050 faster and better than any sense than Amd 690G when placed on a amd 5600+ processor

Welcome to anandtech. The E6550 and the X2 5600 are about equivalent performers, unless you inlcude overclocking, then the E6550 wins hands down. What are you planning on doing with this system?

The 6550 system makes more sense from a future perspective. Noone knows for sure how well Phenom will function on existing AM2/AM2+ mobos (if at all), but with Intel, you know 100% that you can run good Quads on them at top performance.

I think the 690V/ATI1250 mobo provides superior video to the NVidia solution, but not by a dramatic amount. Adding a $30ish 7300GS would blow both of them away any day of the week, freeing up system memory/cpu time to boot. Believe it or not, it really makes sense to get a cheap discrete video card if you're not a gamer.
