New PC build for the family.....and me

Hello,

It's been awhile since i built my last home PC (like 3 yrs) and now its time for another. I'm hoping for a little advice here from anyone about what components I might want/need. I'll start off with how much $$ I want to spend and then give a little info on what this PC will be used for and specific things I definitely want.

Price range $500.00 to $600.00

Wants:

Intel CPU (my last build was AMD for my home office and I want to try out the newer Intel CPU's)
Dedicated Video Card
I want this PC to have some snap (when I click somewhere I want the result to be instant) Not wait a second or two for the PC to make up its mind.

Uses:

Like I said this is a family RIG and will be used for all kinds of stuff.
Video editing/copying
Photo editing
Streaming to TV
Some movie watching
Moderate intensity gaming
Music
Basic home PC stuff....
