New PC- ATi 4870X2 problems

I have just completed a new pc build.

Specs:
Intel Core i7 920
Asus Rampage II mobo
6 x 2gb Corsair Dominator DDR3-1600 RAM
Sapphire ATi Radeon 4870X2 graphis card
300gb WD Velociraptor
1 TB WD Caviar - Black Edition
Enermax 1050w Power Supply
Samsung 22x DVDR
Prolimatech Megahalems CPU heatsink/fan
Coolermaster case

I am unable to run any benchmarking programs such as PCMark06 or 3DMark Vantage. 3DMark wont run and gives me an error stating the driver for the vidoe card is incompatable. PCMark crashed the system.

If anyone has a similar set-up and has experienced problems I sure could use some help working this out.

I am running the latest bios version for the mobo and the latest catalyst drivers as well.

Go to "my computer", right click select "properties", go to "device manager" and expand the "display adaptor" tab. You should have two "ATI Radeon 4870X2" gpus listed. See if either of those has a yellow triangle error message. If so right click select properties on the one with the error and see which error code it has.

It does show two devices. Neither report an error....no yellow.

I different bus on the PSU, but no luck.

You sure DX 10 is working properly? Can you run other games?

Go to the search bar at the start menu and type "dxdiag", then click on the display tab, does the 4870X2 show up there?

If you're managing to see your windows then the basic display functions on the card is working, but if the 4870X2's isnt' showing up in the device managers then most likely it's a driver issue. Here's what I'd try. Go to ATI/AMD's driver dload page and there's an option for you to find older drivers. download the 8.11 and/or the 9.2 drivers. Then locate/uninstall your current drivers and try the 8.11 first. If that works try the 9.2 or later drivers.
