New PC AMD 64

I usually build my own PCs but broke down at BBuy and got an eMachines T6000 which is an AMD64 3200+ with 512megs of ram. I added another 512 and totally love this thing much more then I would have expedted. It replaced a P4 2.4 and I can not believe how much faster the new box it since its rated 2.0 GHz. I know I should have asked here before I made the purchase but I was wondering what the general impression of this unit is at this site. Thank you.

Well its nice to hear from an ex-Intel owner that it is as fast as I see with mine. I did have a 2.4 for a short time, and I agree, thats why I have one now.

You're ging to catch flak for buying an eMachine, but don't sweat it. 😉

No offense but eMachines are bottom of the line. You should buy a better brand or better yet, build your own!

Oh dear. What do we have here. Do eMachines manufacture components? Are eMachines the same company of 2 years ago?

Use your signature to find the answer 😉

eMachines' quality has VASTLY improved. I should know, I'm the proud owner of an M6805.

I loved my first A64 so much, I built 3 of them for family. And I was a 100% intel man before that. Congrats on your new system
