New PC after 6 years. Which DVD burning app should I use? (And mp3 player)

Brand new build today.
Dell Inspiron 570 (1TB, 6GB, Win7, QuadCore Athlon II X4 635)

I was running the last PC for almost 6 years.
So, I have some updating to do.

I was using Nero6 to burn DVDs.
What's the best way to do this now?

Also, what mp3 player is
I was using lightweight WinAmp 2.95 all these years.
Anything better these days?

Thanks.

Depends on if you like free or if you want something fancy. For free, Imgburn is a good choice. For pay, PowerISO or UltraISO are not costly and very good (UltraISO has lifetime updates to new versions) and I also agree, if you want to copy or backup DVD or BluRay, then DVDFAB is your best choice for that.

win 7's built-in DVD burner is pretty good, but it has limitations on what type of formats you can use. For AVI files, it makes nice DVD's.

Winamp's current version is still great.

For the record, I am STILL using this Dell Inspiron 570 I got in 2011.
Looks like it is 7 years old now. (9 year old technology, since it was released in 2009)

Worked like a champ, but has been freezing up.
I just cleaned out the cooler fan dust.
Let's hope that solves it.

Still running Win 7.
Over the years, I've upgraded a few bits:
  • 512GB SSD
  • 2TB SATA
  • Maxed out to 8GB RAM
  • Replaced the graphics card
  • Aftermarket liquid cooled fan.

A friend of mine is still rocking his Athlon II X4 rig too. 16GB of DDR2 RAM, SSD, HDD, small-ish GPU, Windows 7. It still does the job.
