New PC, advice?

I need a new PC as this one is starting to get _very_ outdated. I'm willing to spend quite a few euros on it, because I don't like having to upgrade every few months. The PC I want to buy will have to be able to run all games smoothly in mid to high settings for the next 2 years or so. After 2 years I will consider upgrading if it is necessary.

The system I had in mind:
DFI Lanparty UT NF4 Ultra-D
AMD Athlon X2 4400+
Thermalright XP-120
Papst 4412FM 120mm fan for XP-120
Club3D GeForce 7800 GTX 256MB
2x Samsung Spinpoint 250GB
Corsair TwinX 2048-3200C2PT DDR SDRAM (2x 1GB PC3200)
NEC ND-3540 black
Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS OEM
Canon Pixma IP4000 printer
Logitech Z-5500 Digital speakers
Tagan TG480-U22 480 Watt
SilverStone SST-TJ06 black (not sure about this one, want a case that's fairly quiet and cool enough. However I don't want to pay 200+ for a case and the cheaper Lian Li cases aren't available here)

Any advice on what I should change? (if anything?)

It's very close to what I have in mind for my next setup. I'll be getting a Seasonic S-12 600W, and a 74Gb Raptor, and then keep some stuff from my old PC.

Yeah, sadly after reading through many boards I decided the 74GB raptor wasn't truly worth it for me (I value silence a lot too). And as for the Seasonic, they aren't sold anywhere in the Netherlands which is a shame as from what I can tell they are renowned for silence.

you could try here and send them an email

I know the raptor isn't value , so i can definately understand why you didn't go for it.

My mail to them seems to have bounced, small chance they'll start selling PSU's here anytime soon anyway so I think I will stick with the Tagan unless someone else has a recommendation?

Does Enermax or Ultra sell their PSU's internationally?

I know pc power and cooling does its listed in there terms of sale. their psu's maybe expensive though but they are sure as hell worth it.

"Shipping charges for International Orders are not calculated by this online ordering system. For a shipping quote, call Customer Service at 760-931-5700."

Quiet Case's: Lian Li PC-61, Antec SONATA II, Cooler Master PAC-T01-EK
Note: If some of these case's aren't quiet enough some Acoustipak treament sutff should work.

-Enermax does ship, ultra does not from what I can tell.
-Sonata II won't be available for another 2 months at least in the Netherlands
-Cooler Master case I can't find

I can find the PC-61, will it be much better in terms of cooling/quietness than the TJ06?

Cooler Master Case

As for the Pc-61 lian li case im not entirely sure if it should be quieter than the TJ06 but lian li is supposed to have the quietest cases.

If you really only need that for the next 2 years, you probably won't need an X2 and a 7800GTX... I'd stick with a 3000+/3200+, overclock it (the DFI board is excellent for overclocking), and then maybe pick up an X800XL ($250, great bang for your buck, can play current games at pretty high quality).

Well more is always better, as I said, I don't like upgrading at all so I'd rather sit it out as long as I can. If you think it'll last more than 2 years with high settings, all the better.

Really wanna know how the TJ06 compares to the PC-61 though, or if there's another better alternative.

Mmmh, how's the PC-60B plus? Better/same as PC-61?
Lian Li specsheets are unclear and I can't find many reviews.

Are you planning on overclocking? If not I would recommend a different mobo.
And what kind of monitor will you be using? Unless you have a large monitor capable of really high resolutions the 7800 is overkill IMO, a 6800GT would do fine for 2+ years on a 19"-21" monitor

I would recommend and Asus A8N-E or MSI neo 4. With that 24" the 7800 would be the ultimate choice, I just can't stomach the price at this point.
