Well here is the info...

BX80532PC1800DSL63X

FPO/BATCH#: 3219A043
VERSION#:A78297-003
PACK DATE: 6/14/02

I am looking for at least 2.7ghz to 2.8ghz...The main thing will be to use the lower multiplier with my 3:4 ratio to be able to run 400-416mhz ddr at the high speed....

If I do I will be selling a quite nice 1.6@2.736ghz processor...who knows a person with 4:5 ratio could get 400mhz ddr right now with that chip...

Update: unfortunately this is not the golden chip for me....I tried 2.7ghz with 1.71v right out of the gate with 150fsb and it restarted when I started pime95 app...I upped voltage to 1.73v and it ran 3dmark2k1se once and started a way into prime95..still no go.....May run 2.66ghz with 1.73v but that is too rich for my blood!!!

I ran all night at 2.5ghz with 1.63v....may have been able to run lower...I will try...I don't think It can run 2.4ghz at default but at 1.56v it did fine.....

I am running 2.61ghz prime testing for 1.71v...1.68v did 2.57ghz fine....

I think I will find its ability and sell it in the forum...Still not bad chip...2.4ghz for under 1.6v is good!!!

Update 2: 1.8a@2.61ghz running prime95 for 7 hours now...I will cut off at 8 hours and maybe boost her one more fsb and run her overnight....

I am going to go back and find its exact limit at default vcore...when I sell it I can give top outs at default, 1.63v, and 1.71v....A person can pick there limit....

probably wont get around to it until tomorrow night...

I am wondering if this 6/02 chip will get to 2.5ghz at default vcore like a couple I have seen around here....

I still have a 1.7v limit so I guess I will see....

2.898ghz is likley my limit with the ram on this epox mobo...I would be ecstatic to get just 18mhz over current speed and coupled with 400+ddr....

According to my memory bandwidth reviews that may make the system equivalent to like a 2.82ghz chip with 352mhz ddr at cas2

Batch numbers look good. My crystal ball says that it is a winner. 🙂

PS: I wish everyone would hurry up and buy up all these SL63X chips so I can get me one of those new SL68Q to try out. 😀

Looks like I'm waiting on the SL68Q as well...
xbitlabs shows the SL66Q (I think this is the oem version) to be the smaller die size as well ->

Just wondering, why is this smaller die good thing for end users? Is there gonna be some price cut? How about the performance? Thanks.

hey guys

i just realized my 1.8a is an Q (6/13) costa rica
i have it @155 mhz(flawless)
jumper mode only on my god forsaken p4b 533vm
wired for 1.7v, so i dont know if i can run on lower voltage
BELIEVE IT OR NOT
when the motherboard chip gets above 50c, a game will jump to the desk top
just added a fan for 48c and all is well
50c mobo temp is my stability cut off point!
assuming asus probe is giving me an accurate reading
this Q chip looks good
i will try for 160 fsb in a few hrs
i read "somewhere" that two hrs of serious sam is a MANDATORY stability test
he he

i am in the new york area, so i have the luxury of going to the trade shows -ther is always one a week-and actually looking at the pack date of the chips(dealing w/ those nasty , attitude ridden merchants can be worth it some times)
it is amazing how they stay in business sometimes.
you men who live in the more sparcely populated areas probably do not have the opportunity to goto theses computer shows and actually seeing the box before buying.
and checking to see if it is"intel cellophane" sealing the box
not aftermarket cellophane job- these new york merchants are pretty slick sometimes!

Looking forward to seeing your results.
Let us know where you got it from too.

I might like the 1.8 better than the 2.26.

Updated...I was lazy on running the chip...One thing I have to say about alpha hsf....It sure makes you not want to change out cpu as much....

I think this chip is an average performer for june 1.8a chip....

Oh well I will sell it and wait for the 2.53ghz chip to fall to 240 in september!!! I think it will be my best shot to eclipse 3ghz....

So Duvie... how high did you get and at what voltage...how high did it go at default

Oops..I should have checked the first post..sorry..NM

she's done!!! 1.71v at 145fsb (1.8@2.61ghz) is the best....at this level even ifsb takes a vcore boost so likely 2.628 will be fine at 1.73v and maybe 2.646 would be fine at 1.75v...past my limit though...

Yep....just finding its default (or as close as I can get to it with the wire mod in affect)...So far it has run flawlessly at 2.34ghz or 130fsb.....

2.538ghz (141fsb) at 1.63v actual idle 1.59 actual load (prime tested 8 hours)

2.574ghz (143fsb) at 1.66v actual idle

2.610ghz (145fsb) at 1.71v actual idle 1.66v actual load (prime tested 8 hours)

All temps look good...maybe a stronger PS and an asus mobo could eek 1-2 more fsb, but likley this is the best for the chip...

Vcore when it hits 1.6v goes in much shorter leaps and thus 1.75v would likely be needed on my board to get to 2.646ghz...not worth it IMO.

I don't think she is a dud....just wish I had got 2.7ghz with the 400mhz ddr....

Not bad for a chip that did 2.4ghz at defaul (1.53v) for 18 hours in prime95....Also does 2.61ghz with 387mhz ddr at cas 2 with only 1.71v....

Someone will love her!!!!

I can't believe my p4b533-e has no 3:4 after 132fsb. So envious of the 140fsb ocs. Oh, I've got a 1.8a with some Samsung 2700.

JuicyFruit, your board does have 3:4 above 132fsb.Go and read this thread from head to toe and you shall find your answer grasshopper. 3:4

man, i can't figure out how to enable the 3:4.

help please.

it'd be a lot easier if someone did a: OFF ON ON OFF. . . thing for me. i'm just totally confused by this all.

thanks.
