I have a friend who starting to investigate a new method of overclocking and needs some newbie help (I do not overclock, so can't help him out).
He wants to know how hot a heatsink generally gets when overclocking (obviously there is a range, but he just wants an approximate value)? Also, how much would you need to bring down the temperature of the heatsink in order to bring the processor down to a stable temp? There must be some ratio governing the temperature of the heatsink vs. the processor.
I am aware that these numbers vary a great deal, but I would really appreciate any help you can give. Thanks.
