I built my new system today, with the new opteron 165 and Zalman CNPS9500 + AS5, it idles at 37 degrees, is it too high? i have not overclocked this thing yet. should i reapply AS5? cuz the first time i applied, i took the heatsink up and put a little more on it, was it a bad move? whats the best way to apply it?

i haven't try full load yet, my HD have nothing on it.

That looks about right. If you enable CnQ or use RMClock you should go down to around 30C.

That doesnt sound right to me, my 165 is 32C idle with 2.6 OC and 1.45 volts.

You should try reseating the CPU using LESS AS5. If you use too much it will insulate the CPU causing more heat. Follow Arctic directions to the T and that should fix it.

Also I have CNQ off.
