I have Roku, but have never listened to Sirius XM.
What sort of programming do they offer? What's so good about them?
(I'm not challenging you, just looking for an intro before I ask her for a date).
I've had XM since 2006. It's vastly superior to regular radio, though I don't think it can quite hold up to Pandora, Music Unlimited, and other streaming services that basically let you listen to whatever songs you want. Though they do offer some more on demand stuff now. I mostly listen to it in the car, occasionally at work, but rarely at home. When XM merged with Sirius, they also started compressing the music stations more. As a passive listener I don't really notice it too much, unless it happens to be a song I know very well. Then it's quite evident. Programming quality in general also dropped after the merger. Though as I said, it's still superior to regular terrestrial radio, which is mostly garbage these days.
If you like talk radio, there's some good options that aren't on regular radio. I'm an O&A fan and XM is the only place you can hear them now. Same with Stern. Comedy stations are good too. Personally I think it's better as a satellite service since you can drive without consuming mobile broadband.
