new omega drivers

plz enlighten me, exactly what improvements do omega drivers provide? and are they really that big when it comes to performance increases over the ati catalyst drivers?

people claim they enhance image quality/stability at the expense of a few frames. i've never noticed a difference between ati's and these though. just try each set out a see what works best.

I have found that my systen is more stable with the Omega's for some odd reason. That's might be just me though.

There was a topic over on the driverheaven.net forums where a person had tested various custom driver packages. Omega, Ati cat 4.1, Neutral, DNA, and Asura. He/she did not do any image quality testing, but actually found that many of the driver packs offered increased frame rates/scores/etc over the standard catalyst pack, albeit a very small percentage. Also, almost all of the packs took a hit in one test or another. Im running the Asura 4.1 catalyst right now and I am very happy with the performance and image quality.

Edit: Looks like the new Omega's have a version of radlinker built in. Nice suprise.

I've only used the Omega drivers since I got a 9800NP (my first ATI card) a few months ago. I have yet to run into a problem with any of my games or applications.

I find that I can OC better with the Omegas and that my card is more stable, could just be a coincedence but that's how it works for me.
