Did anyone else pick it up? I actually really like it, "You're Gunna go Far, Kid" is my favorite, and I can't say I dislike any of them. I don't know if it's up there with Americana or Smash, but it's not far behind in my book.

"Kristy Are You Doing Okay?" is also a good one with some deeper meaning.

I've only heard a single from it ("Hammerhead", I posted a thread about here a little while back) but I thought the song was pretty good.

I'll listen to a few more songs before I pick it up though.

I like Hammerhead, and my guess is I'll like the entire album. I own all but one of their albums.

How does it compare to Splinter? That album had potential but was way to short and was just really disappointing. I heard the hammerhead the other day and it was ok but not amazing.

I've listened to a few songs, they still don't have the energy that they had in Ignition, but it's still better than Americana.

I will never forgive them for making me hear that goddamn "Pretty Fly For a Whiteguy" song ad nauseum years back, but I actually think the new album is pretty decent.

I downloaded it last week when it was available, and it reminds me of their earlier albums, I like it a lot.

El Camino Real High School, then double-majored in anthropology and geology as an undergraduate at the University of California, Los Angeles. He went on to earn a master's degree in geology from UCLA and received his Ph.D. from Cornell University. The Ph.D. dissertation was officially a zoology Ph.D., supervised by William B. Provine at Cornell. The dissertation was entitled "Monism, Atheism and the Naturalist Worldview: Perspectives from Evolutionary Biology." It is described as being essentially an evolutionary biology Ph.D. but having also relevance to history and philosophy of science.[2]

...Graffin's not quite as much of a nerd. But still a nerd :)

anything after ixnay on the hombre hasnt done it for me at all, I prefer more smash like albums and they are turning into more alt pop rock albums.

I've always liked their music, and I liked the single above. Looks like I'll pick it up after work! :D Thanks for the heads up!

Their self-titled album, Inition, Smash and Ixnay are all GREAT. I really really hate everything else. If they are returning to that older, deeper sound, I'm a happy guy. I'll give this a listen and decide.

Graffin actually taught life science 1 here about two years ago while they were recording "new maps of hell"
