This might be old news but Nvidia finally released drivers that officially supported this card. I downloaded them several days ago but hadn't played any games.
I orginally had a 7800 superclocked card w/ my 3.4 prescott & 2 gig ram & I thought the 7950 might add some life to my rig. Well, I got the 7950 in late June & wasn't that impressed but I wasn't going to take it back. All along I knew that Nvidia hadn't released drivers that offically supported this card so I tried betas & XFX's drivers but I couldn't tell much difference between this card & the 7800gs. Tonight I loaded up Madden 08' & everything was much smoother. I exited & loaded up FPS & restarted Madden. My old FPS scores had been around 20 to 25 @ 1024/768. Now they were at 60. Then I tried 1680/1050 maxed out & the FPS was around 45. I then tried MVP 2005 & my FPS had doubled from 30 to 60. In Oblivion I was getting around 20 FPS w/ low settings, now I'm getting a steady 30. I could not believe it, I never knew that a updated driver could make this big of difference!

very nice, yeah drivers play a very critical role in how a vcard performs. Glad that there was an improvement in performance.

speaking of which, anyone know which aftermarket coolers work best for the agp 7950/7900 cards?

yeah my 7800gs maxes out madden 2008 at 60 fps so your card should hit it easily.
