I'm beginning to think I may have damaged my left ring finger, it hurts any time I apply pressure to it. *shrug* Oh well.

Red wheels, yellow calipers, red stickers, red trim lines, red spoiler trims... it looks terrible.

That SLS looks a bit ostentatious, I'd rather have the Ferrari.

I much preferred the older SLR over the SLS.

I'm not much of a Porsche fan... but AWD flat six twin turbo rear engine... that's pretty much perfect.

One of the problems with nice cars... you're still limited by shitty roads, or retarded drivers.

I got stuck behind some wise and beautiful woman in a Jeep today wearing sunglasses (it was a shady day), chattering on her cell phone, and glaring into the mirrors at me behind her while she did 26 through a 30 zone, a place where even most of the idiots do at least 35.

I went to a local Subaru dealership today. Meandered through the back lot, looked at an Impreza and an STi next to each other. The STi has more pronounced side flares, more aggressive lower front and rear bumpers, more aggressive grille design, and that godawful hood scoop.

Brake rotors looked a lot smaller than I'd expected, 13.0 fronts, 12.6 rears, on 18" wheels. Should've been larger in my opinion, given the absurd cost of the car, and the appearance and performance factors.

Although I've never really understood braking systems. I mean, I know you want more and/or larger pistons in larger overall calipers with larger rotors, I understand what brake pads and rotors are designed for their functions... but the why escapes me.

And yes, I know larger rotors are noted for a torque effect... but that's not the why I'm missing, I need an even lower level one.

I noted the STi's sitting out there had an array of wires looping around under the rests for the windshield wipers; heating wires to keep them defrosted. An excellent touch that I haven't noted on even the Infiniti models. I may need to check that.

Anyways, I headed inside after. Ran into a salesman who turned out to be a recent graduate from the same college as me, and going by his last name, a relative of the dealership owner. He knew the practical details of the cars; where the switches and levers were, how it actually drove, et cetera. I had the numbers in my head.

It's very narrow across the interior, and it's the increasingly common cockpit design and I FUCKING HATE THIS BENZ COMMERCIAL. Stupid bitch, if are wandering out of your lane, die. If you don't notice a goddamned eighteen wheeler has stopped, then DIE DIE DIE, you ignorant fuck.

Right then. Small steering wheel, rather cheap feeling interior materials, which was unsurprising but disappointing, given the price tag.

View out the side windows, the wing mirrors, the rearview mirror, and the windshield were all good, the A pillars were vertical and narrow; combined with the setting of the manual seat put me very upright in the seat, so the forwards 180 arc of view was good, and the mirrors were nice, although I suspect the wing mirrors are a shade smaller than my current ones.
