The other upside of an email, it lets me list out all of my reasoning in a clear concise fashion. Doing that aloud in person could prove more difficult.

On the other hand, in person makes it seem more sincere, sincerity is easy to fake and hard to recognize in email.

So now I just wait for him to say no, impossible, never happens, don't be ridiculous, et cetera... and then I have the appeal on its way within likely less than three minutes.

Because I have absolutely nothing to lose.
