Hi, I know the NF2 crowd is thinning out these days but those other stalwarts there is something new. The latest Win64 drivers for the NF2/NF3 chipset contains the long awaited new and improved NVMixer. It is completely compatible with WinXP 32, I know this for a fact as I am using it right now.

Drivers Here

Extract the contents of the above downloaded file. Copy out the AudioUtl folder and it's contents. The new utility has it's own installer, too. Have fun!

It is the utility that includes the equalizer, volume controls, speaker setup routine, etc...

Having trouble... I get 'catastrophic failure' when it extracts and launches the Nvidia installer.

Any solutions/ideas?

eh?
Megatomic, how can you run the nVmixer?
I got it installed but I can't run it at all. it said that It needs nV audio driver version 3.4 or higher to run.

Well, I am using the audio drivers that became available on Windows Update recently, version number is in the screenshot. 4.31 I think... Prior to that I was using version 4.09 which also came out on Windows Update not too long ago.

I guess hanging out at NForcersHQ has helped me stay abreast of things. :)

Excellent. The only downside to the new mixer is that center channel controls are "gone" with it. You can go into the registry and change one setting and you get it back.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0055\Settings\APU\GlobalVolume

Change "CreateCenter" to 1.

I don't have a speaker set with the center channel so I haven't tested it myself but I've seen reports that this works. Good luck.

Strangely enough, after 10 minutes of searching, my 'CreateCentre' was already set to 1. Ive had no problems with the program so far...
