It fixes the issues with the water effect on Nvidia 5200/5900/5950 that wasn't rendered correctly with the previous ones.

*edit* On far cry

well for my video card the 5900 se these are by far the best drivers. These ones are like the 5303 in that they are image quality and speed. Now when I roll back I wont have to go to 53.03 I will go back to 56.72
Finally they got it right. First ones since 53.03 that didn't frustrate me!

Why the WHQL in the filename when these drivers are not actually WHQL certified?

I have been using these drivers all morning and so far they have performed better than the 56.64 drivers but still not as fast as the 53.03 drivers with my fx5900 xt.

Who cares about whql certified? Nvidia probably made a mistake and realeased the set without whatever file causes whql certification. THey say they passed so I am sure they did.

That just adds support for different languages, the WHQL certified doesn`t mean much except for saying that Microsoft have tested and approved them.

I installed them in my backup PC and the image quality at desktop is good.

True, but there is potentially an issue with Windows File Protection replacing freshly installed drivers if signed drivers have been previously installed or came with the Windows driver database. Check Event Viewer for WFP entries just in case.

You can get round that by running Driver Cleaner(in safe mode) just follow the instructions.

Exactly, but this is a third party utility. When we are only talking about the drivers and their uninstallation capabilities, there is potential for WFP conflicts. Not everyone knows about this problem.

I guess it's just me who cares then! ;)

MS certifies their own software as secure and stable... and we all know the word Microsoft brings to mind a great product.

And you trust them certifying other peoples drivers?:D

Like I said they forgot to add the whql logo and they put it in this morning. I am not downloading them again just to get a logo. But go right ahead.

These drivers seem ok so far over the last few days,so no complaints yet.

I did use Driver Cleaner 3.0 to make sure I had a nice clean install :).

Any other feedback from you guys?

I don't know about the rest of you, it seems that the IQ went up slightly in these drivers (vs 56.64). Otherwise they bench almost identically. I like them :)

There is a slight problem when character textures are turned up to highest detail in the Painkiller demo,. It might be an on purpose effect though I am unsure. Characters look a little milky like they are ghosts.
