New Nvidia F@H GPU core released for beta testing

Also includes bug fixes for EUEs, etc and supposedly a slight increase in speed (2.6%). I didn't see the increase in speed on my 8800GT but others did see a modest increase.

Installation: Shut down the GPU folding app. Then delete the copy of FahCore_11.exe in your Folding@home-gpu folder (and any other copies you have laying around).

Download the new FahCore_11.exe (link) and the copy it into the Folding@home-gpu folder and restart app.

Should see something like this in the log:

After seing your PPD on another thread I decided to buy a 8800GT also.

When I tried to restart the app. it gave me a missing dll. I since reinstalled version 1.06.

Is it normal for the simulation to slow down? when I click on the graphic, it starts to go fast again.

I had to install the cuda toolkit to get rid of the missing dll error.

I'm running Vista 32 bit and had to run the GPU folding app as administrator to get it to run at all. Same thing with fahmon! Go figure!😉

Neurodog, is your card folding an actual work unit? Check the log file and post.

I'm guessing it's not running an actual unit because it's not giving me any points.

This one actually slowed down my ppd on 8800gts, i was getting 3666 now its 3567. Not a huge decrease but still..

I saw the same thing on mine. 🙁

didn't bother changing it back...... yet
