Quote:

"FYI. New drivers will be released the day before Battlefield 3 launches. Make sure to grab them especially if you will be purchasing Battlefield 3 as there are numerous bug fixes and better performance as well. For those who have modded the latest Quadro driver (http://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro-...invista-64bit- 285.58-whql-driver.html) it is very close to the final driver but is missing a few Battlefield 3 fixes so if you do download and mod them, make sure to update to the newest Geforce drivers next week. The Quadro driver does contain the fix we've added to address the TDR issue. "

I hope reviewers have these drivers for the BF3 review.

I could care less about the drivers.

What I do care about is the game looking like the videos!!!

Beta wasn't even remotely close.

I'm pretty sure I'm ready and some with 460s in SLI.

I think some of you expect too much from a 3gb beta to test server performance.

Also, this is one game where MSAA is obsolete. Delivers similar image quality to "medium" post-AA for a ~50% drop in performance. Any review you see using 4xMSAA, its running at nearly half the fps otherwise.

I think the game will look fine at release.

Does this driver release finally fix the random nvidia driver crashes that happen almost daily? (Using an evga 590Ti at stock speeds, driver pkg. 280.26.)

The amount of driver stopped working and had to restart crashes are becoming intolerable, esp. when the crashes happen with any use of the computer......web browsing, email, etc., not just during games.

Get used to random crashes to desktop, every GTX owner goes through it at some point whether they admit it or not. Try re-installing, they shouldn't be so frequent, if you roll back to the latest non-beta drivers the problem should go away.

hey I have a question... I am a long time aMD user but I just got 2 new nvidia gtx cards the other day.. I reinstalled my OS before I put them in. My question is ... to upgrade to the new drivers later this month is there a "clean" way to do it?

I too get random driver restarts with the current beta drivers. It doesn't crash my pc or mess with any currently loaded programs, but it is a little annoying to have the screen go blank for 5 seconds 1-2 times per day.

Download the latest drivers and choose "clean install" when the driver asks how you want it to be installed.

I think I'm one of the few who is only interested in the single player BF3 campaign. I'm waiting until it's $20-30 and (hopefully) on steam.
