New nVidia driver @ Windows Update (3.0.8.7)

Where did that come from? Any info on this driver? I use nVidia's reference 30.82 right now, and I was planning to update my drivers only when the Det40's where out of beta, I just would love to know why MS released this version.
 
Call it a creed or whatever, but NEVER let windows update install hardware drivers for you. EVER. 😉
 
Toxic is right! Out of curiosity, I once let Windows Update update my (on board) sound card drivers, five minutes later I was looking for my w2k cd to reinstall from scratch 🙁
