Does this mean people who download this driver don't need to purchase PureVideo?

Sadly, you still need to purchase a decoder that supports it.

Woohoo. Finally do away with 81.87 beta. These 81.94's working well, fellas?

These new drivers work INSANELY better...well.....if using 3D Mark 05 counts...at just 475/1210 I scored 8119marks....which is what i used to score at 505/1270

I'm guessing 8300 if I bump it back up to 505/1270

Also seems a little smoother in AOE3 and DOD:S

Enjoy!

They wont increase your speeds unless they are "optimized" for 512mb use. The 512mb GTX is using the same core as the 256mb fella's not a new one.

how about better dual core utilization maybe? or more efficient code than previous versions? certainly support for 512 was not the only change implemented.

I'm hoping for better implementation too, though I'm pretty satisfied with the performance gains so far.. :D

FYI, the new drivers caused a regression to the previous video error where movies seemed extremely dim - I think the old fix was something about changing the contrast/brightness settings and saving a new default profile, don't remember.

This happened on my 6800Ultra and 7800GTX.

If you try the XTreme-G version of these drivers, you will see better Image Quality (IQ) than with the stock drivers, at little-to-no cost in framerate (maybe 1-3FPS). This is definitely a must for those out for the best image quality. Don't be scared of modded drivers either, as they will do NOTHING to harm your card\system (I am 588.9% sure of that ;) ).

If you have a laptop, check out my XTreme-G Mobile Edition 81.94-v2.21 ;) . Better than Dell drivers for sure ;) .

Well I havent tried CoD2 yet but I ran 3dmark05 and got basicly the same score vs. previous 81.85.

81.85 = 8666
81.94 = 8629

Both tests ran with no overclocking / tweaks etc. just defaults.

Screenshot of 81.85 / 81.94 comparison results here
