New nVidia Demo

The 64bit performance enhancements are starting to become a reality=stoked :sun:

Just did a little "benchmarking" on this demo using fraps as an indicator of frames, and it looks like the 64-bit version does come out top by a couple of frames.

In the 64-bit version of the demo, it hovers around 22fps when the blob is dancing, and drops to around 16fps when he "falls apart" (those who watch the demo will know what I'm talking about).

In the 32-bit version, it hovers around 18 or 19fps, and drops to around 14fps when he "falls apart".

If anyone is interested, I can do some controlled benchmarking tomorrow to get some exact numbers.

Just tried it in 32bit mode. With my set up it hovers at 28 fps and goes up to 30 everyonce in awhile. I have seen it jump to the low 40's when I first start the program. The lowest I have seen was 21 when he splits up into a ton of peices The falling down part I have only dipped to 22 though. Either way the entire thing seems smooth to me.

jeez this place is full of lurkers almost 200 views and only 5 replies?!?!?!? cmon guys don't be shy.

If I go ahead and download this will I be able to run it in 32bit mode? (Using an A64 but not XP64...) I see JBT ran it in 32bit mode, so I'm assuming that's a yes.

yes you can run it in 32 bit windows. It installs 2 version 32 and 64 bit. the 32 bit runs fine the 64 bit for obvious reason's won't run on regular win XP ect.
