new Nvidia Control Panel

I'm legitimately curious, does anyone find the new control panel easier to use or better in any way? Personally I think Nvidia is.. to avoid the use of explitives, royally dumb in their choice of the new control panel(maybe not so new anymore though). They had a good thing going, why did they come along and change it? I guess this is a good time to ask, is there a way to keep the old style in Vista without losing any options?

I'm using the 91.45's on XP, and I turned off the newer look control panel - I couldn't control clock speeds with it, so it went, and I used the Classic option.

It's downright horrible. Does Vista not allow the choice of the classic menu?

nVidia cruelly plays a joke on you in Vista. You have the "option" to go to the classic "look" in the Control Panel, but their idea of classic is like Microsoft's classic view in the Windows Control Panel, except it actually changes nothing that I noticed.

Can you set custom colours for a game with the new control panel yet?

I use this all the time - games look much better with a touch of digital vibrance and image sharpening, but you don't want that on for general desktop usage.

With old control panel you could save a colour profile. Then in settings for a game in advanced options get the game to use that profile so it only uses your gaming colour profile when playing a game.

With the new control panel last time I checked there was no option to set a game to use your special gaming colour profile.

Don't worry, NVIDIA has already started working on a brand new control panel for the 100-series driver which should be released hopefully with the first official non-beta release sometime in the next I don't know when.
