If anything, just a speed bump on the current models, but no new architectures.

Think the g80 was expected, but rumour is it ran into a speed bump.

June? Highly unlikely - they don't run 3 month product cycles. I would say September at the absolute earliest (probably more like Oct/Nov)

I'd expect G80 around the time PS3 is released. That way nVidia can pimp both their GPU's at the same time.

Maybe the 7950GX2 which is the shorter version of the quad SLi cards.
But most of us cant afford that stuff.

Not looking good....R600 might be a serious hurdle to overcome this time.

The delay could be due to the fact that NVIDIA is redoing the chip design.
hopefully this is true....i would hate to see another refresh from NV

G71 with DX10 stapled on needs to be delayed after reportedly 4 years of development and $400 million invested?

G71 isn't able to keep up with today's games, nevermind what's coming in the next 12 months. If this is really true, these guys have to be the biggest fvckwits that ever fell off the turnip truck.

GPUs have really fallen behind the software demands. There needs to be a new generation within 6 months, because the sh1t that's out there today ain't cutting it.

yeah, G70 is a good chip, but with things moving so fast, just bolting on parts to make it work probably isnt the best way to stay on top.

its like cars you can use bolt on engine mods to try make your 1.6 civic a beast. or you could build the engine from scratch with being a beast in mind

the latter would always better becuase it was built with performance as its main goal. not, like the former, built to get your gran to the shops then modified for some kind of performance.
