I was looking through a Japanese car magazine my friend bought for me during winter break. Heres a drawing of the possible new NSX. Of all the drawings I've seen so far, this is the second one I dislike the most. There was one worst than it, but forgot where I saw it.
Reminds me of the Camaro, and the Subaru SVX (especially the tail light and the top part of the car). I'll ask my friend what the article says.

edit: I like this look more:

These two are very similar, with the white one being a little more boxy. The orange/red one is a little more curvy and the lower half of the body looks a lot lower. They can't go wrong with either of these designs.

That baby looks schweeeeeeeeeeet!

I can see how you would think those things though. The headlights do look alot like the Camaro's. I think they fit the car quite well though.

They've had the same design for the past however many years because..................

IT ROCKS:)

I've seen 3 of them this weekend, man those things are bad. So freakin' close to the ground.

the sides look way more like a Corvette "in reverse"
look at the sides of some corvettes to compare here

its uncanny how the side scoops are similar

although overall, esp. the headlights and spoiler look Camaro-ish.

Looks good. I got to drive a '95 NSX cause one of my uncles is a Honda mechanic and when he opened his own shop, he borrowed one of his friends NSX to display. Great car, handling/power but it's one bumpy ride!

<< one bumpy ride! >>

Comes with the stiff suspension you need in a sports car though right? ;)

Looks nice, most new cars, I don't like the look of much. This ones not bad.

The NSX drawing doesn't have the corvette sidescoops in reverse, the corvette has the NSX sidescoops in reverse. :)

The NSX has always had sidescoops like that ever since 1991.

I don't think it's so bad. The hood scoops have got to go though.

I am actually surprised - I like this new version better than the current version of the NSX.

I was going to buy a Viper in a year or two, but I may opt for this car if it is fast enough.

Uh ok... I'd bet a Nissan GT-R would tear any American car, including the Viper apart. I have respect for the Viper, but besides the power, there's nothing else going for the other. The GT-R has the AWD, AW steering (rear wheels don't move fully though). If Infiniti brings the 2003 over... christ... that'll freaking own the road. (And yes, I know about the company that imports them, but for such a jacked up price, I'd never buy one)

With the new NSX, there are two rumours going on.

The first one stated that Honda will drop the aluminum body and hand built for an all steel body and built on an assembly line. They'll go with a V8 and drop the price to around $50k.

The second rumour states that Honda will raise the price to $143k and aside from that, nothing much is known. If they do do that, they'll have to keep the aluminum body and hand built craftsmanship as well as raise the bar on the engine. No way in hell anyone going to pay $143k for an "Acura/Honda" especially if it's a v6. I love Hondas and Acuras, but if I had $150k to spend, I'd be looking at some Italian exotics.

dcdomain, in it's Japanese form, the GTR isn't nearly as strong as a Viper. You're talking 280HP vs 450HP. The reason being is that Japan puts restrictions on their domestic cars, they can't be over 280HP. That's why the Japenese versions of the RX7 and Supra are all at 280 horses. Now, if they brought it to the US and unleashed the GTR's engine for what it's worth, I'd say the Viper would have a little comp. But until they do that, there's not much we can say.

Hehehe, dude, WE ALL KNOW some of those cars are 280hp on paper because of the gentlemens agreement between all the corporations. But as everyone sez, to be able to put up those numbers, the GT-R definitely has way more than the 280hp they say there is.

Get your rear to studio so you can translate the damn article for me... or I'll just give the mag back to you and you post up the translation. Dying to hear what it sez... will it be $50k or $143k...

Most of us do, but you'd be surprised at how many people out there think that this is the most you can get out of a turbo 6 :Q

With a little tweaking on the front end, that first pic could be a beauty. I love they way Honda maintained the current NSX's side scoops in that first pic as well. I see a lot of Porsche in the headlights of the second two pictures ans I see Ferrari in the front air dam on the second two pics, though the resemblance is much stronger on the middle pic. Really I don't see any problems with any of the designs, by the time it is cleaned up for production the NSX will be quite a looker. I do like the way Japanese companies will rate 300+ HP cars at 280 because of governmental regulations. :)

You sure it is a government regulation? I always thought it was just a gentlemen's agreement. An 'unsaid' rule in the industry over there.
