Why ? All they would need to do is either throw on a Turbo or a Super Charger.

wouldn't the V8 throw the car completely off balance ?
It's a mid engine sports car.
Wouldn't you expect a V8 in a porsche ? Especially going for 100k+ ?

Because displacement > Turbo/Superchargers. And even then, you can always throw a Turbo/Supercharger on a 8 Cylinder and get even more power.
I would not spend almost $100k on a 300hp V6 "Super Car". I can spend $15k on a Used (Or about 25k for a 2002) LS1 Z28/Trans Am, and get more power.
Or hell, just buy a new Corvette Z06, 405hp, $50k. Use the rest for mods (Turbo/Supercharger). Even so, next generation Z06's will supposedly have about 500hp.
$50k for 405hp? or $100k for 300hp?

Ferrari 360 Modena = 8 Cylinders
Most Ferrari's and Lamborginis = 12 Cylinders...
They are all Mid Engine I believe, and according to that logic, I'm sure they are all off balance![]()

I don't know about you, but i'd still take the NSX over the Corvette, but that's my preference.
Corvettes are dime a dozen, and I see them all over the place. You rarely see an NSX and it's considered an Exotic.
a lot of the people that see it won't even know what it is. If you shaved the badges off it.

Yeah, that's cause the corvette is a better car for less money. You see a lot more Civics than you do Yugos, too.

and at what price ranges are they in ?
More than double the NSX no ?
The NSX was built around the 6, So they would have to rework the whole platform right ?
You say that for 90k you want more than a 6
are you gonna complain to porsche about them not throwing in a v8 ?
AFAIK, their 6's have no problem putting down power with a Turbo.

Better car in what sense ? Build ?
I highly doubt that, The only thing corvette has going for it is what it puts down in power.
That's about it.
Yes, but one is a porsche and one is a honda/acura.Turbo Porsche's are quick, the N/A versions are nothing special. Less power than the Z28 Camaro. They are in the same boat as the NSX, price is not worth the performance given. Even then, the non-turboed Porsches are still cheaper than an NSX and puts out more power.
