New Nissan Frontier Commercials

Why would you create a commercial that doesn't demonstrate the true capabilities of the vehicle?

Pretty effed up that you have to add a disclaimer that the commercial is fiction if you ask me...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zC7t-lA7gA

this includes the newer one where the truck does a mid-air roll on the ski slope and the older one where the airline with the damaged nose gear lands using the bed of the truck...

What are they gonna advertise? Pathetic towing capacity, can't fit much of anything in the bed, weak motor?

Want a truck then buy a ford, Chevy, or dodge.

Are Nissan cars usually as reliable as Honda's or Toyota's?

My wife had a sentra that lasted 250k without anything other than standard maintenance done. She traded it in and still got $2000 (although I think they were giving 2k for anything).

jdpower says no. they've definitely benefited from being japanese and having honda and toyota's reputation rub off on them.

my sentra had constant issues with the starter and one of 2 thermostats went at about 60,000 taking the radiator with it.

What? You don't believe them? Why would a Corporation lie to the people?

Jaguar is more reliable than Honda?

Shens. JD Power is full of it.

I absolutely agree with the OP. I really wonder what kind of TV viewer Nissan thinks will be more inclined to buy one of their trucks after watching these commercials

I drive a 2006 Nissan Frontier CC SE. I've previously owned a Ford, a Buick, and a Pontiac, and this is by far the most reliable vehicle I've owned. I might trade it in before long... maybe... but the only reason is because I want a car instead of a light truck. *shrug* I would not hesitate to recommend the Nissan Frontier or Titan for a general purpose truck -- but not a heavy-duty workhorse.

Same with my girlfriend's Nissan Xterra. It's pushing 290k now.
