New Nikon Coolpix 995 - having trouble with the LCD (colors are all red!) - Please Help!

I recently purchased a Nikon CP 995 due to all the good reviews and commentary. However, after I got the camera all ready to go (batteries charged & etc), and turned on the camera to Auto Mode, I immediately noticed that the LCD display has a reddish tint to it. 🙁 The only way that I could sort of correct the problem was adjusting the Monitor Display properties. I turned the Hue all the way down, and Brightness all the way up (in Auto). In Manual, I reset the white balance to incandesant lighting (I'm indoors with regular light bulbs) and then the picture has a greenish tint. 🙁 Both methods doesn't correct the image colors correctly. Any suggestions? Sorry if this is a newbie question, but I want to make sure that this is just an user error, not an camera problem. (I purchased the camera online, and when I opened it up, it looked sorta "used" since the bags and stuff were retaped. 🙁 )

Thanks in Advance!

u can send it into the repair place for free if it's under warranty. u just pay for shipping.

i sent my nikon 950 in, and they couldnt' find anything wrong w/it -- they cleaned and did maintenance on it for free. 🙂 it took them about 1.5 weeks too! (turns out that i had a bad CF card).

good luck
