New network W2K<>W98 where W2K Pro requires password to its shares?

I just set up a network between a W2K Pro and a Win98. The initial and still primary purpose is ICS(W2K has 2 NICs w/ a cable modem).

However, I'm doing one step at a time. Right now W2K can see shares on W98, but when W98 tries to see shares on W2K a password without a user id is demanded. What is that all about?

Info: Local Area Connection or LAC1 connects to the cable modem whereas LAC2 connects to W98.

Also, I'm confused as to which NIC is set to ICS, LAC1 or LAC2.

LAC2 TCP/IP Properties:
General:
IP address: 192.168.0.1
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
DNS server addresses: ???
Should I use those provided by my CABLE ISP?
ADVANCED:
WINS:
Enable LMHOSTS lookup checked?
Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP enabled?

Enable ICS is not checked. When I do, I get an error that IP is already set.
I'm gonna go auto then try to enable ICS.
I'll be back. Meanwhile please help?
