new network card installed does not work?

it says that it's connected to my wireless network and that there's internet access, but there's no internet access from browsers, msn, anything. drivers were installed through device manager, etc. i can't find the CD, so that will have to do.

edit: sometimes, it says there is no internet access with the exclamation mark ontop of the signal strength. the router is fully functioning, as i am typing this with a computer with wired internet connected to said router. i dont understand. this is really confusing.

1. you have an ip address or not?
2. did you disable the old card? other cards?
3. did you disable ipv6 on the card?
4. what driver did you install before you inserted such card (always install driver first!)
