What's New in This Release (4.79)

Improvements accessing subfolders under the Inbox on certain mail servers.
Performance improvements when accessing pages with nested tables and style sheets.
Win2K Only: Improved performance when using certain pages with JavaScript and document.write.
Mac Only: Sizing when printing problem on certain Epson printers fixed.
Mac Only: Composer now retains the default URL of the edited document.
Unix Only: You can now add multiple personal address books.
Improved support for dual processor machines.
Win2K Only: Improved Performance when contacting a server on the same machine.
Fixed incompatibilities which caused Communicator to quit unexpectedly while viewing certain web sites.
Upgrades to Components: Netscape AOL Messenger version 4.3 (Mac only)

Most companies stuck with version 4.7 because it was stable. So 4.79 would be a nice upgrade for them.

they are still producing the 4.xx version for those of us who hate the 6.xx versions I guess.

I found 6.1 way too bloated and slow.

Interesting...I didn't know they still updated the 4.x's.

I'm at work (I use other things at home) and our ver 4.x SUCKED so bad I hated getting online for any reason. Sinc e we went to 6.1 things seem to be much improved though. I guess it varies from system to system.

I haven't used the 4.x series in a while. 6.2 is out now, btw.

I had good results with 4.x series in Linux and Unix.

4.xx worked good for me. It just had a few things I didn't like.
