New mushkin power supply

They have a new 550 watt power supply that looks good, but does it perform well? anybody have any idea who it's rebranded from? was their 650 watt version good? or was it just a $200 POS?

Mushkin PSUs are rebranded Topowers, although I'm not sure if they boosted up the power ratings (probably a little bit). If your in the market for a 500W PSU you can't go wrong with a OCZ Gamerxstream (rebranded fortron).

There was a review on SPCR already. Can't remember which model Mushkin it was. They weren't impressed. And it wasn't just the noise either. Get an OCZ GamerXstream instead. Cheaper, and haven't heard any complaints either.

OCZ moved from Topower to FSP Epsilon.

Mushkin took OCZ's spot at Topower.

Corsair has a new unit out built by Seasonic. I would buy the Corsair over either of the

SPCR reviewed it, it was noisy and inefficient, plus no APFC which is a must for the cost of that supply.

Go with a different brand.
