Could be the start of something great...the pent-up desire for the graphic version(s) of the nForce2 powered motherboards may assuaged ? starting now.

This is the first ?real? sighting of these boards that I've seen. 😀 Anyone else?
Yippi! Skippi! Just in time for my 62nd.

I expect PriceWatch, MSI and Avlogic web sites to crumple under the Anandtech stampede...

Well, you're right... I can't get a response out of the avlogic site 😉 ALL THEIR BOARD ARE BELONG TO US !! Did they actually have it in stock, for sure? Interesting to see the price too: under $130.

Holy crap. 🙂 Talk about being loaded. I can't think of any card you'd need to buy after purchasing that board.

Nice find. 😀

Am i wrong, or are these boards NOT going to be overclockers?

May not be, but my barebones K7N2-L has awesome overclocking options! If these boards have the same options, only stability would be a possible issue to overclocking.

Good for a part time gammer, but it's still an MX no matter how you look at it.

Actually, it's quite good. I wouldn't hesitate to use it even if I were a consistent gamer. Only if you decide to crank up the resolution past 1024X780 and enable stuff like AA and AF will you need something better than a GeForce4 MX440 in the vast majority of video games.

No kidding. I have an ATI 7200 (p3 800) and a TNT2 Ultra (p4 1.5) in two of my older comps, and games run just fine on them at 800x600.

The only real OC drawback with the MSI that I heard of is that it hasn't got a PCI clock lock. So you will be OC'ing you PCI-bus when you OC the FSB.
Also I've heard the max voltage for the CPU isn't that high. It could hinder OC'ers with a Palomino XP.
Correct me if I'm wrong!

Evan,
Isn't it 1024x768? Or is 780 a new standard?😉

PS I'm perfectly happy with my iiyama 17" & 1024x768 and thanks for the encouragement to all of us who are less than professional gamers😎

Yes, the MSI board has a PCI lock, see www.nforcersHQ.com forum under MSI.
The Leadtek looks like a great bargain, but if it has the MCP-T with Dolby Digital, where is the optical SPDIF? I don't see it on the board or on any of the add on cards.

GetIn,
Didn't see but two external USB ports, either.
Let's see...
1 for the mouse,
1 for the scanner,
1 for the printer,
1 for the camera,
2 left over so that if the USB keyboard ever becomes manditory there'll still be a spare.😀

Also, two internals for the front USB2 would be nice...
Yes, 6 is the bare minimum I forsee needing.

It says "special order," but here's an MSI K7N2G-L for $120 plus about $7 ground shipping. 😀 Worth watching...

EDIT: and that happens to be the SAME price as the no-video version! :Q Ooooo!

That must be why you got the sucky "Motherboard Editor" job and not the exciting "Video Card Editor" job! 😀

mechB,
AxionTech is one of the very best. Have ordered from them for years (although not exclusively due to price).
They are in Kansas & speak Engrish<sic>.😱
