:eek::disgust:

Recently bought the new MS cordless optical at CC for 50 bucks. Thought I was getting a deal since it
lists for about 75. What a waste of time. I'm back to using my cordless optical Logitech which is about 1000 percent better.

1) The MS was tough to install (about 6-8 reboots).
2) It turned out to be one SLOW AND JITTERY POS: you don't want to use it as a gaming mouse, for sure, but I found it frustrating to use just doing ANYTHING.
3) Please accept my apologies all of you if you saw my Circuit City post and went out and bought it. Perhaps I can apologize to you in person tomorrow when I return the mouse--as I am sure anyone who bought one will. Meet ya at the Service Desk.

So YOU are the one who got me to buy this POS. Yes, it feels extremely comfortable in my hand, but, as you said, it is VERY jittery. No counter-strike service for this mouse. I guess I'm just going to eat the shipping and return it to the CC B&M in my area.

I always prefered logitech mice over MS mice. I guess MS just had to have one out has well. Besides, isn't it MS rule of thumb to release somethng buggy and then work out the bugs with later revs?

Nothing like public beta testing.

Are you kids sure you set it up properly? Because you know, some people still have problems with AMD because "it's incompatible". Are you sure there is no option to adjust the Data Transfer rate, or to tweak your USB settings so it gets more bandwidth? How about calling or E-mailing Microsoft and asking for help? Or maybe you need new batteries? ;)

Please try again and let us know.

microsoft doesn't seem to know how to make cordless mice

Before this cordless optical, they've had a cordless wheel mouse, which also is a piece of junk (i got one for free using one of the past year's hot deals thingies, and can't stand it. I was very happy when it finally died)
It made me afraid of using logitech's cordless ball mouse, but when I actually got the one that came with my cordless desktop pro, it turned out to be nice. there's no comparison between the 2 cordless mice

I like ms's corded optical mice..
