Our you could have been like most people (not companies) and bought the $10 converts for standard VGA cables...

True, but most people didn't buy the very expensive Sun computer and try to adapt it to use a standard monitor or try to use the very expensive sun monitor on a standard computer.

Just came in to prepare stuff for the stupid Superbowl gathering I agreed to do....humans munching away while fellow humans who juice and so, are huge and aggressive, smash into each other and sustain brain damage.

I like this guy! I like his CV as I saw it online, I like Android (why I chose my current phone), I like he is not MBA, I like he got silver medal, I like his face and what it broadcasts....I like him much better than the other guy.
So far.

I think, at heart, is is far more techie than businessman. Course, I am an optimist.🙄

Thanks again!!!!!

Edit: Wait.....I was wrong. He does have an MBA. Was very naive of me to think otherwise. I dunno, I guess we need to be patient and let things unfold.

Thing is, whoever it will be, will impact most of the world for a very long time.

Out of all of the candidates who were rumored over the last few months, he is easily the best of them for what the job will entail. An engineer is just what MS needed.🙂

Edit: And they have Gates taking a more active role in development, too. Which can't hurt. "Microsoft also announced that Bill Gates, previously Chairman of the Board of Directors, will assume a new role on the Board as Founder and Technology Advisor, and will devote more time to the company, supporting Nadella in shaping technology and product direction. John Thompson, lead independent director for the Board of Directors, will assume the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors and remain an independent director on the Board. "

Just saw these interviews and it seems like they are going to go in a better direction but we shall see...

Yes, saw this on my ANDROID :sneaky: phone outside, earlier. Well, we shall see what unfolds in the fullness of time!

And hope for the best. For most of the world, given, most of the world will be impacted.

Brings home yet again, why monopolies are pernicious, anti everything good about the real Capitalist model.:|

Microsoft has no interest in the desktop anymore. It's all about trying to fight Apple and Google to get into mobile and tablets and finger-touching and to put everything into their cloud BS now. This is why I switch to Linux and never look back.

RIP M$

I fear the above is true. And, if it is, they are morons. They will loose the worldwide business sector. If they think they can afford to do that.....good luck.

And cloud BS is right. Along with bluetooth or snap on KBs re W8 tablets affording the ability to do "serious work.' If I see the latter PT Barnum pitched one more time, I will throw up.

The extent to which consumers are malleable sheep....I think, will determine the outcome.
