Ive been road biking ever since selling my old Rockhopper a couple years back but the urge to hit the singletrack bit me once again, so I picked up this 2001 Fuel 80 for $450 from some guy locally. I upgraded the front shock from a Judy C to a SID XC Hydrair ($100 on ebay :) ) and next up are the rims (need to take the reflectors off).

Sweetness

My old Rockhopper was a hardtail, it was a totally sweet ride but I wanted this one to be a FS. No real reason why, just wanted something different. I tend to get more bike than I need. Ive got a Trek 5000 road bike and the farthest Ive gone on it is about 60 miles in a day. I dont plan on doing anything super crazy on this one, but it rides real nice and smooth.

You mean Promax doesn't make high quality, long lasting brakes? ;)

It's on the agenda, though to be honest, the Promax are functioning much better than I would have given them credit for.
