I've put nearly 2,000 miles on it in the last 40 days. It's fast, comfy and fast.

Not "busa" fast but fast enough.

Anyone else enjoying the spring weather on 2 wheels?

Brutal!!

The owner of Pirate's Lair had his truck and trailer stolen from him last week. He was inside a motorcycle shop....someone got in his truck and took the whole rig.

Sorry for your loss!

Just got my M license this year...so right now I'm riding the UJM starter bike. Gimme another couple of months, and I plan on buying another bike...I'm still debating what style to go for, but I'm leaning towards sport cruiser right now.

I've been using it to commute lately, but I got a nail in my tire yesterday, and didn't have time to repair it...so I'll have to take it in today.

This is my first year too. I took the MSF course in January. I've ridden about 5,000 miles since then. Lovin it!!

That 1200GT looks like the sort of bike I'd be getting...just a bit more expensive and a bit more displacement than I was thinking. You don't find it to be too much bike for a beginner? How's the long-distance comfort? Wind noise? Weight?

I don't consider myself a beginner anymore. The long distance comfort is good. 170 miles one day and no worries. Cruise control gives you great advantages for the hands. The wind noise is only an issue at 100mp +. I wear earplugs so I don't notice it too much. The weight? IT's a heavy bike. I'm 6'4 and 240 and workout regularly. There have been a few situations that I've had to use all my strength to keep it upright but they have been rare. It's heavy.

I really like the bike and plan on taking some long trips. I'm considering a trip to Las Vegas from New Orelans. 1,700 miles or so over 3 days.
