New Moto SLVR

how would they like to be called "Mtrl"? Start using vowels, idiots! 😛

That phone is nice, I hope they've overcome the problems the RAZR had as I'm a bigger fan of the candybar phones than flips anyways (one of the reasons why I stuck with SE than go with a RAZR)
 
it takes a fraction of a second to respond to keypresses like all GSM motorollas. The razr did this, the slvr did this, the V300(my old phone) had this. pretty annoying when trying to navigate and the menu lags when you press the menu button.
 
I've never been a fan of Moto's. I've been buying Nokia cell phones for the last 10 years, and just recently made the switch to a Samsung. It's not a bad 2mp camera phone, other than the slow shutter.

A lot of people are saying that it is a lot more responsive than the appearantly-laggy RAZR

indeed, im not a hige fan of flip phones....dont need any moving parts I could easily break...candybar ftw
 
I've played around with them a few times, probably one of the sexiest phones ever. Good features too, espcially with the itunes ability and built-in stereo speakers, mobile email/browser and minisd card slot I give it a :thumbsup:

I was debating between the L7 and Black Razr.. I ended up purchasing the razr because I prefer flip phones and I don't care about itunes.
 
I love mine, except when uploading music it is a little sluggish. It takes a while to transfer music and slows down itunes a lot

Get the newest Flex/flash file and it speeds up the menu speeds consierably. No noticable lag. Just as good as my previous cdma samsung and lg phones.
 
I bought the SLVR last week and so far it's an awesome phone. I love the size cause it's so thin. i wasn't a big fan of the razr cause to me it's too wide for a flip phone.

Transfering songs doesnt take too long using usb 2. I was expecting it to take longer.

the only downside is the software interface. yes, java is slow and that's one thing that i can't stand. but it's a little faster than one of the other motorolas that I had a couple of years ago.
 
only probs i have w/ moto phones are the interfaces, seem to be completely bassackwards to someone who's been using nokia and samsung for almost 10 years.
the other prob is the use of mini-sd cards - the things are insanely expensive since only sandisk makes them
 
What is the price for existing Cingular customers on that? I wish my contract was almost up so I could get this phone at a discount!! 🙁
 
Yeah, how much are you guys buying it for? I'm currently looking for a phone now. for either a new contract with tmobile or renew with cingular.
