New motherboards?

A guy at work was telling that the new motherboards that will coming out within the next year will start having a built-in component that verifies all your software is actually registered software. I haven't searched as of yet for it to see what is going on with it but, wanted to see what you guys thought or have heard about it.

thanks!

Thats been rumored before. Something like a modified bios and something with microsoft to not let us install warez and cracked stuff and ppl said who cares thats why we have linux.

How the FCUK a mobo will verify what's registered or not? If you didn't install it, you can't register it, and if you registered it, and the brain of the mobo has to be flashed to recognize the authenticity of your software, then it will be cracked. Waste of effort, but, nice try.
