Well, we put a new motherboard in my friends computer. It's fully functional, except:
The mouse and keyboard stop working as soon as Windows loads.
The keyboard works fine in the BIOS and boot menus.
We would System Restore, except we can't get in even in safe mode because we cannot type in his Windows password.
He bought a Gigabyte P35-DS3L.
They worked fine the first time it booted, but not anymore... Any ideas?

The keyboard works fine in the BIOS

There's sometimes a setting in the BIOS to to change the USB control of mouse and keyboard from OS to BIOS.

You normally want the BIOS controlling it.

Yeah, we tried all of those things, and none of them worked. =( He said he prob needed a clean install anyways; he always had a bunch of errors on startup to Windows, so we just wiped and reinstalled. He had everything backed up, and everything works perfectly now. Thanks for the suggestions, though!
