New motherboard that supports hard power on switch...

Here is the situation:
I retrofitted an old arcade cabinet (Space Dual) with A PC. I'm currently using an old Gigabyte AT Pentium II motherboard that supports only up to 400mhz (Dip Switches). I am looking to upgrade the motherboard in the cabinet to get something a bit faster.

The nice thing about it now is that I wired up the old switch to a power strip, and when turned on the whole thing turns on including the marquee light, pc, monitor, etc. With an ATX motherboard I would have to install some other power button somewhere as this would not work.

The power supply in the cabinet is an AT supply, and can be replaced, but I'm not sure how to do this with an ATX motherboard and have it work the same way.

Any suggentions would be great.

Thanks
Mark
