New Motherboard - Please Help!

I recently installed new motherboard XFX P4XE-MVB along with Celeron 2.0 and 512 DDR PC-2100.

I finally got it running for a couple of days after installing new hard drive but now I am having problems.

The computer starts rebooting itself while running programs. I was running TmpGen encoding an .avi file when this happens. Also, when I am running Sonic MyDVD!

Please Help!

Bob

Are you overclocking?

Have you run a good memory-tester program? The free DocMem program from www.simmtester.com works pretty well, though I've read it's not the best.

Have you run a hard-drive diagnostic check?

Did you install the mobo correctly in the case, using the metal standoffs only where there were matching screw-holes on the motherboard?

What kind of power supply do you have (brand / watts). Can you easily borrow a good power supply (Antec, Enermax, Seasonic) of at least 300 Watts to try with it?

Did you do a fresh install of Windows or did you try to use an old install set up to work with a different motherboard?

No, I am not overclocking! I have not run any memory tester programs. I purchased 2 sticks of PNY DDR PC-2100 256 memory and on one the lable says 266 a and the other says 266 b? I purchased both at Staples!

Also purchased a new Hard Drive and installed Win Me on it!

Ok, you've eliminated 2 of the 6 possible problems I listed -- check some of the other 4 (especially the memory) then tell us what you find.
