Right now I have the following:

Intel Pentium 4 2.26@2.8GHZ with SwiftechMCX478 Heatsink
512MB Corsair PC3200 DDR RAM @ 412MHZ
Epox 4G4A+ 845G Motherboard
Leadtek Geforce4 Ti4600 Video Card

I am looking to upgrade in the future to a 3.06GHZ processor and want to be able to enable hyper threading but have come to find the 4G4A+ does not support it due to an older revision of the northbridge. So I am looking for a setup that will mantain my current overclock and also maybe allowme to have an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro run at 8x AGP. What motherboard would allow this? Or should I just scrap the whole intel idea and go with an AMD Athlon XP 2700+ and Nforce2? What would be the best idea? Thanks.

Newegg is supposed to get in some Aopen granite bay boards tomorrow (Intel 7205 chipset). At $215, they are less than any other brand of granite bay I've seen. Check out the features at Aopen's website. If you like it, order it immediately. They should sell out in about 1 hour.

many reviewers have been getting extermely high overclock of around 180-190mhz with the granite bay
it should be able to keep your current overclock
but i think you will see a better overclock
you'll need two sticks of ddr the enable dual channel ddr
