I just received my motherboard bundle with an assemble/test bundle from mwave.com. It includes:

MSI KT3 Ultra motherboard
Athlon XP 1800+ Cpu
512 mb pc2700 ram

I put this into my case. I didn't change any jumpers or anything since it was already preassembled and tested at Mwave. My case includes an ATX 300 watt power supply from Best Buy. I put it all in and hooked up my hard drive to it and my Geforce 4 Ti 4200. I pushed the power button and the CPU fan turned maybe twice and then all power turned off. I figured maybe an Athlon 1800 with a Geforce 4 wouldn't be able to be handled by a 300 watt power supply so I tried using my old Voodoo 3 3000. The same exact thing happened. I tried using my old cpu fan and......the same exact thing. I am sure that my hard drive works and that it was plugged in correctly. I am debating whether I somehow accidentally shocked my motherboard, it was damaged in shipping or my power supply just doesn't cut it. I seriously doubt that I shocked my motherboard and it wasn't defective because of the assemble/test at mwave. Does anyone have any suggestions? Could it be my power supply???? I am very thankful for any help or suggestions. Please answer as soon as possible as I only have 7 days to return my bundle. Thanks!!!!!!

He wouldn't get any power if that were the case. Are you getting any beep codes from the motherboard?

Are all your case connections right? (power switch, reset, hard drive light, etc...) Check them again.

The motherboard doesn't beep at all when I did it. I am going to try and reinstall the motherboard and make sure it wasn't touching the case at all.

Ok, I reinstalled the motherboard and it boots up! It looks like I damaged it earlier when it was touching the case. Whenever it boots up says, "CMOS/GPNV Checksum Bad". It also detects my Amd Athlon XP 1800 as an AMD Athlon Processer, 1150mhz. Aren't the XP1800's clocked around 1.56 ghz? I've tried clearing the CMOS with the jumper on board and it never saves the settings. If I change BIOS settings they reset everytime I restart the computer. Windows 98SE won't boot right either. Should I return it or is there anything I can do?

I don't know about that board, but mine had a dipswitch on it I had to set to 133mhz (fsb) to get it to see the xp1800 as 1.54 ghz
