New motherboard doesn't recognize MP3 players

I put in a DS3L last week, I had an Asus M2N-SLI deluxe beforehand. I did not reformat windows after putting in the new board, but everything else runs great. I have two MP3 players, an iRiver H10 5GB and Creative Zen Vision:M 30GB. I can plug the devices into a USB slot, power them on, and the MP3 players detect that they're connected to the computer, but Windows doesn't recognize them anymore.

Should I just reformat and try again? I've got so much damn software I don't really feel like doing it, but if I've got to I will.

Also, no clue if this is in the right section. Wasn't sure to put it here, mobos, or gadgets.

Thanks!

I had this problem with my Ipod and my Samsung YP-U2J mp3 players... The Samsung... It just seems like it's a piece of crap to begin with, as no computer recognizes it anymore.

But with my Ipod, I had to go into the device manager and reinstall drivers for the "usb device". That seemed to fix it.
It would connect and charge, but I couldn't do anything with it, and Itunes didn't bring it up.

I've tried doing that with both players. Now the iRiver won't start up even with another (fully charged) battery. Zen won't start either. Has my computer just fried a pair of MP3 players?

Also, my printer (Canon MP470) is not showing up as an option in Illustrator when I go to print a file, yet it's in my device manager as "USB printing support"

Did you make sure your plug and play service is started in computer management --> services?
