New motherboard / CPU recommendation?

Currently have an ASUS P3B-F with an Intel P3-850 CPU and 640MB PC133 RAM running Windows 2000 Professional.

Have a good opportunity to unload my existing motherboard/CPU/RAM combo. Unfortunately, I have been out of the loop lately regarding what's best for motherboard/CPU combos.

Can anyone drop me a recommendation?

Stability is key, overclocking is not important.

I've typically stuck with Intel processors, but the Athlons seem like a real good deal right now.

Anyone?

I'd go with the ASUS A7M266 board.

I would suggest probably the Epox 8K7A or the MSI K7 Master with a 1.4 GHz T-bird and 512 Mb (2X256 Mb) Crucial DDR RAM.
