Problems in the land of my new KT266A. I'm not able to get the keyboard working and it hangs on an error that says "CMOS Settings Wrong" or sometimes "CMOS Checksum Error." I've tried 3 different keyboards that are known to work (including PS2 and USB) and have flashed the CMOS several times with both the jumper and by pulling the battery. Any thoughts?

shut down the machine and restart. Hit delete to get into the BIOS---go to advanced chipset features, find usb keyboard support and make sure it is disabled. If it has to be changed change it, hit the f-10 key when it asks to save and exit hit the Y and continue to boot. Hope this helps.

Ahhh... but I can't hit delete with the keyboard not working. If I could get into the bios I think I would be fine. And they PS2 keyboard doesn't work.

Geeze I really feel like a fool. (no keyboard no delete) one other thing you might try, are you sure you have the mouse plugged into the right socket?? I have done this and have gotten a failed boot.
